5 February 15

Zhang Ke of ZAO/standardarchitecture from Beijing is one of the most promising protagonists of a young group of Chinese architects and urban planners. His work seeks to combine the specific context and local culture with contemporary means. In addition to this year's exhibition Contemplating Basics  at Aedes Architecture Forum and the accompanying ANCB symposium on sustainable tourism, ARCH+ FEATURES invites Zhang Ke to give an in-depth lecture on his work including the projects presented in the exhibition, as well as his more conceptual projects and installations. He will also discuss his architectural thinking and the conditions of contemporary architecture production in China with China expert Eduard Kögel and Anh-Linh Ngo.

Hosted by ARCH+ the Berlin-based magazine, ARCH+ FEATURES is a series of guest presentations by leading architects, urban planners, and architecture scholars focusing on discourses of contemporary architecture and urbanism.
