Haluk Akakce

The work entitled Measure of All Things (2000) is the latest piece by Haluk Akakce and consists of a six minute long video loop. In a series of successive scenes, the video describes the human desire for freedom and the absurd attempts of accomplishing this goal within the Information Age.

The work of Akakce differentiates the present conception of paradise with the traditional, mystical, and religious idea by showing it in the form of a technological simulation.
