In the context of the 30th anniversary of Kunst-Werke Berlin e. V., KW Institute for Contemporary Art is cooperating with the Jugendgremium Schattenmuseum. Together, we explore the topic of archives and the building hereof. Taking its cue from the current reconstruction of the KW Archive, we investigate the structures, knowledge production, curating, and founding processes of a contemporary art institution.

By means of project weeks, visits to the KW Archive, and urban research in the Scheunenviertel, the Jugendgremium is working on a project which will be presented for the first time at KW’s 30th anniversary celebration.
