Lecture: Johannes Stüttgen - Joseph Beuys: "Art = Capital"

Accompanying program to Regarding Terror: the RAF exhibition

Location: Sophiensäle, Sophienstraße 18, 10178 Berlin

Joseph Beuys, professor of sculpture at the Staatliche Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf from 1961-1972 and dismissed without notice in 1972, because he opened his class to all interested parties and refused to limit the number of his students through the selection process, made a decisive contribution to the political struggle against the established system. It was not the Marxist class struggle theory and its option of violence, which the RAF also appealed to, but the extended concept of art.
