KW’s Mediation and Participation Program offers a welcoming space to engage with the ideas emerging from our exhibitions and broader social conversations. Designed to be engaging and accessible, it invites everyone—children, teens, adults, students, school classes and educators—to be curious, slow down and have fun. Through a variety of artistic and mediation tools, we encourage meaningful exchange and inspire new perspectives on contemporary art and beyond.
We aim to welcome new audiences and connect with the diverse diverse communities of Berlin-Mitte, and beyond. To achieve this, KW develops long-term art and education projects in collaboration with local schools, youth clubs, universities, and associations.
These collaborations are often designed to bridge our exhibition-making with our mediation program through innovative workshop formats and partner-driven initiatives.
Our current collaboration partners are:
Berlin University of the Arts / Weißensee Academy of Art / Heinz-Brandt-Schule, Berlin-Weißensee / Young Arts Neukölln / Alfred-Nobel-Schule, Berlin-Neukölln / The Hemingway School, Berlin-Mitte / Jugendclub New Way / Weinmeisterhaus, Jugendzentrum Mitte / Berlinische Galerie / Berlinklusion / Jugend im Museum e.V., KinderKulturMonat / Kulturagenten für kreative Schulen / Stiftung SPI / Kulturprojekte Berlin / Projektbüro Andreas Döltgen, Berater und Entwickler für Projekte mit Gebärdensprache
