Due to the circumstances evolving around the COVID-19 virus, KW has decided to cancel the event as a precautionary measure.

How to aim for blueprints, not institutional critique alone? How to seize those toxic machines on the factory floor? And revisit traditional divisions between the dull and the daring, the inspirational and the bureaucratic? Perhaps funding can be something more than a necessary evil, embraced with backstage cynicism, free from genuine moral responsibility. Perhaps it can be tackled more candidly, more proactively, as a cultural practice. When rethinking funding, shouldn’t we also be rethinking the structures of cultural institutions in general? Is funding a financial issue, or a cultural practice – doesn’t it define the kind of art and culture that gets produced and exhibited?
