Akheron Fall
Concert performance

Akheron Fall is an audio-visual concert performance that is a collaboration between musician, sound designer, and producer Roly Porter and visual artists Lucy Benson and Marcel Weber.

The Acheron River in ancient Greece was a boundary to the underworld. Charon, the ferryman of Hades, carried the newly dead across the rivers Styx and Acheron from the land of the living to the land of the dead. Akheron Fall is a journey through landscapes of the soul, an odessey to a place of refuge, and the surrender to trauma.

Lucy Benson and Marcel Weber developed a visual level to the music of Roly Porter. Their reworked, collaborative performance addresses being lost in a surreal, strange but familiar environment.

Film premiere (50 minutes)

What We Leave Behind is a sound piece composed solely of unreleased fragments of sound that were recorded on the film sets of Jean-Luc Godard. They were somewhat forgotten until being rediscovered by accident in France.
