The séance berlinoise brings together current projects of the class Clément Cogitore from the Beaux-Arts Paris and displays twelve videos as experimental narrations that blur the boundaries between documentary form and fiction. With humor as well as critique, authors oppose the notion of an objective gaze, collage perspectives and create new visual worlds.

The camera follows emancipatory gestures, allowing the viewer to witness intimate fragments in relation to the body and its hidden realities while persisting in the domain of the constructed perspective. Different temporalities are offered as another angle in fabricating reality through either virtual worlds as future visions or archival practices and recollected memory narratives. The screening aims to bring together the works that offer overlap in questions raised while also keeping the ambivalence that allows the audience in Berlin to come into dialogue with the artists.

With works by Bérénice Ahadji, Clarisse Aïn, Evan Argento, Zoé Bernardi, Joséphine Berthou, Emma Boudon, Clara Eon, Hugo Franconeri, Nathan Ghali, Céleste Moneger, Arnaud Renaud, Yaqian Zhang, program curated by Luise Willer. The event is supported by the Institut Français.
