During this workshop Ellen Bluumenstein, the avatar of KW's chief curator, makes herself available and exposed to the participants directions, allowing them to "hack the curator". With this action, KW Institute for Contemporary Art becomes a scene, a stage on which guests can decide what the tasks and motives for replacing an institution's curator can be.

The invitation is not satisfied with merely exposing what it means to emerge as an institution's "sovereign", who requires plots against her persona in order to maintain her status. It's about more than presenting empty gestures of power

Through Ellen Bluumenstein's offer, visitors can decide on their own what they do during the session, or what they let happen. In the process, another option is illuminated: to Insist upon gestures which actively show signs.
