In Coming of Age. Age of Coming. Of Coming Age., Matt Copson explores existential questions surrounding life and contemporary subjectivity. His featured work in the KW Main Hall explores the basic truths of human experience through the eyes of a baby exploring the sense and the nonsense of this world.
The body has an intelligent memory. Fitzsimons, a contemporary dancer, aims to explore the matter of subjectivity on the body through improvisation. Intuitive groove aims to strip back layers of our lived experience: shame, memory, arbitrarily deemed social dos and don’ts, to access a state in which the body can respond intuitively.
The workshop is open to all abilities — no prior experience is required. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
Kerri Fitzsimons is a Berlin-based performance artist, educator and yoga teacher. She believes that through friendly mediation which prioritizes personal interpretation, we can challenge exclusivity in the arts and offer accessible creative spaces. Her performance work is grounded in story, using narrative to create pieces that are at once aesthetically surprising and approachable through storytelling.
