Alec Empire rose to fame in the 1990s with his band Atari Teenage Riot and his record label Digital Hardcore Recordings. He has pursued a range of styles, from musique concrète, through ambient with classically inspired structures, to minimal techno, and experimental noise. Rafael Anton Irisarri is an American composer and instrumentalist associated with the ambient and post-minimalist music genres.
