On the occasion of the kick off event SILENCE = DEATH for KW’s exhibition TIES, TALES AND TRACES. Dedicated to Frank Wagner, Independent Curator (1958-2016) opening on February 8, 2019, the new magazine King Kong Garçon will be launched at KW. The biannual counterpart to King Kong Magazine aims to reflect, contrast, expand or even contradict the themes with a focus on maleness that pushes boundaries of male portrayal by giving it a special, challenging and critical voice and look. The first issue includes a selection of images of the artist David Wojnarowicz and the curator Frank Wagner, followed by an interview with Krist Gruijthuijsen.

From February 8 until May 5, 2019 KW Institute for Contemporary Art presents the three solo exhibitions David Wojnarowicz: Photography & Film 1978-1992, Reza Abdoh and TIES, TALES AND TRACES. Dedicated to Frank Wagner, Independent Curator (1958-2016).
