In his novel Unser Leben (2016), Stefan Schütz accompanies an elderly couple during the final years of their lives. The narrator tells us sensitively, yet humorously and powerfully about the world that each of us will eventually enter. Böhm and Schütz ask the visitors to break with social taboos and to bring old age, for once, into society’s center.
