Lapse—an interval or passage of time

In the context of the participatory art project Lapse, a group of young international inhabitants, who were living temporarily in an accommodation in Berlin Alt-Moabit, worked together with artist Maja Gratzfeld. Within this project, photo-elicitation and Photovoice were used as tools for a visual research.
The photographs represented in the catalogue were shot by the group and are collecting different stories and points of views. They started a dialogue in which empowerment, creativity, and social action became the main intentions.
Lapse was be exhibited during 48 Stunden Neukölln: Neue Echtheit 2018 at the project space of Berlin Mondiale.

Lapse is a cooperation of children and young adults of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund-Notunterkunft Alt-Moabit, Mondiale Berlin, and KW Institute for Contemporary Art and is part of the long-term project Für morgen.
